The Church: God’s Living Masterpiece
Ps Andrew Gardner
In this powerful message, we're invited to explore three vivid pictures of the church from Paul's letter to the Ephesians. The first image is that of a temple, where Christ has broken down the walls that separate us from God and each other. We're reminded that we are living stones being built together, despite our brokenness, into a dwelling place for God's Spirit. This challenges us to embrace our imperfections and those of others, recognizing that God's work of transformation is ongoing in all of us. The second picture is of a body, emphasizing the importance of growing together in Christ's love. Just as ligaments hold our physical bodies together, we're called to let the love of Jesus be the 'superglue' that binds us in unity, even amidst our differences and struggles. This image encourages us to foster a community of acceptance and forgiveness, standing in stark contrast to the 'cancel culture' of our world.
